Beyond the Manuscript: The Quiet After Publication

Hello dear readers,

The calendar has turned, and so has a significant chapter of my life. I’m happy to share that my book, Financial Trauma: Why Money Isn’t Just About Money, was officially released on January 4th.

The journey from proofreading with a trauma lens to holding the finished work has been a profound one. I expected the relief and the satisfaction of seeing these words finally take their permanent form. What I didn’t quite expect was the “existential vacuum” that followed: that period of wondering, Who am I now that I’m not waking up to this manuscript?

When you spend years documenting survival responses and the path to regulation, the “completion” of that work can feel like a loss of its own.

Thankfully, that season of stillness has passed. The vacuum has begun to fill with new breath, new projects, and a renewed, even stronger commitment to this community. I’m transitioning into a fresh creative phase, and I look forward to keeping you informed of what’s next as it unfolds.

For those who would like to dive into the heart of the book itself, I’ve created a dedicated page with all the details on its content and where you can find your copy:

Thank you for being part of the “before,” the “during,” and now, the “after.” Your presence here, even the silent kind, has mattered.

Be well,
Wendy
